The Staircase of the Turks

The Staircase of the Turks is a rocky wall that rises above the sea along the coast of Realmonte, in the province of Agrigento. It Has become in time a tourist attraction both for the singularity of the white cliff and the peculiar forms, The shape that this monument of nature assumes is that for the note of a staircase, where according to the legend, during the Moorish invasions Which raged in ' 500, the Turks (so erroneously called) landed in the territory of today's Realmonte by clamping on the stratifications of this cliff.
